Who is Shi Fu?

My interview with Shi Fu
By: Molly Munger

Q: What different types of poems did you write about?
A: I wrote about lots of different things. Some of the things that I wrote about were the different people, the places I have visited and I wrote about a friend of mine named Li Bai.

Q: What were some of the different things that you liked to do when you were younger?
A: Well, when I was a kid, one of my favorite things to do was read. “ I read ten thousands of volumes until they were worn out.” That was one of my most favorite things to do when I was younger.

Q: What would you say that your poems represent?
A: I would say that my poems represent the hard realities of the war, people dying right next to some of the rich rulers and the primitive rural lifestyle of many different people.

Q: Where do you get your inspiration for writing your poems?
A: I got my inspiration from all the daily things that I see happen. I watch people get hurt and I find it very unfair.

Q: What’s your opinion on Confucius?
A: I mean he was kind of a bad guy in ways but I mean I don’t like to judge people.
